Chad
Leat was an investment banker with Citigroup for over 16 years – a tenure that
rounded out a highly successful 30-year career on Wall Street. Initially a
partner in High Yield Capital Markets with Salomon Brothers (1997),

Leat proved
an invaluable asset to Citigroup throughout his time with the firm – not only
as the Global Head of Loans and Leveraged Finance between 1998 and 2005, but
also as co-head of Global Credit Markets (2006-2007) and as Chairman of the
Global Financial Sponsors Group (2009-2013).
As the
Global Head of Loans and Leveraged Finance, Leat was responsible for growing the
business into one of the biggest and most successful high-yield and loan
operations of its kind on Wall Street – one that would end up contributing more
than $1 billion in revenue every year.

And as co-head of Global Credit Markets,
Chad Leat provided leadership to more than 1,000 employees around the globe –
something that included all of the company’s debt capital and credit trading
market groups producing revenues of more than $3 billion a year.
Leat
would serve on Citigroup’s Capital Markets Origination Committee, Fixed Income
Management Committee and Investment Banking Management Committee before
retiring as Citigroup Vice Chairman of Global Investment Banking in 2013.
